Advantages: Its very family friendly
Disadvantages: Can be a little dull for older children and adults
Paultons Family Theme Park as the name suggests is a family theme park. It's just off exit 2 of the M27 near Southampton in Hampshire.
Originally Paultons Park was a country park and bird garden. However it now has over 50 family rides and attractions as well as some animals dotted around the park these include Meerkats, Penguins, South African Crowned Cranes, Touracos and a few others.
It's many rides include: The Cobra, THe Flying Frog, The Stinger, The Wave Runner, The Raging River Ride, Seal Falls, The Jumping Bean, The Pirate Ship, The Dragon Ride, Kontiki Ride, The Sky Swinger, Astroglide, 2 Seater Go Karts, Magic Carpet, Flying Saucer, Viking Boats, Jumping Jack, Digger Ride, Rabbit Ride, Kids Kingdom, Trekking Tractors, Percy's Bouncers, Tiny Tots Town, Rio Grande Train, Tea Cup Ride,
It also has many activities specially for kids that happen all at different times of the year and a special Santas Christmas Wonderland after November 22nd.
There is plenty for older children and adults to do as well as there are many cafes and a gift shop onsite for whilst younger children are playing. The bigger rides are also fun for older children and adults.
The prices are £16.00 per person, except for senior citizens for whom it is £13 and children under 1 metre who get in for free.
A 2008 Family Ticket for 3 (including at least one paying child under 12) costs £45.
A 2008 Family Ticket for 4 (including at least one paying child under 12) costs £60.
A 2008 Family Ticket for 5 (including at least one paying child under 12) costs £75.
I really enjoyed visiting Paultons and would recommend it to anybody.
Summary: A really nice family day out
