Advantages: lots to see and do

Disadvantages: no monkeys!

Having recently had a wonderful day at the safari park with friends.. l feel its only fair l review it.

Okay so it was raining, hardly the best day to go.... but we decided to go anyway. Living in the UK you know that if you wait for the weather to change you will wait for ever.... besides its only rain, right?

Haha so we were brave and set off.

The west midlands safari park is located in a place called Bewdley in Worcestershire, its fairly easy to get to. For directions go to http://www.wmsp.co.uk

So yes we arrived and drove around, we saw the famous white tigers, the wolfs, african dogs... we spent ages watching them. We saw giraffes and elephants and the camels, deers and zebras decided to block the road which was amusing. There was so much to see.

The safari park is open 10- 5 most days, or 10-4 in the winter months. Its £10.50 for children and aduits, but we got a free return ticket, which is good.
We seemed to spend ages driving round... and then we parked up grabbed something to eat in the cafe (which is expensive but sells hot and cold food, and we all seemed to enjoy what we had), and then set off around the amuzements and indoor enclosures.
Be warned do not enter the twighlight enclosure if you do not like bats, as they instantly fly at you!!!

The amusements, are mainly children based, but will keep them entertained, with quite a few fair rides. Theres lots of places you can get food and drinks, and places to sit down and eat outside.
The toilets were adequate, what you would expect for a busy place.
There is a sealion theatre where we watched sealion acts which were quite good too, and theres a lake with hippos which was nice.
So as you can see theres lots to do, so it makes a great day out.

My only criticism is the lack of monkeys.... as a child l remember the monkeys climbing all over the cars, well they have gone now.
But dont let that stop you going.
Children will really love it, and so will adults. It a great family day out, enjoyable with friends too!

So it gets top marks for a fun day out from me!!!
Just make sure you go on a sunnier day than we did!!!

Summary: what are you waiting for? Go see!
