west midlands safari park (West Midland Safari and Leisure Park)

Advantages: great drive thru and exhibits Disadvantages: very expensive theme park
I visited the safari park earlier this summer with my partner our daughter and nephew age 7 and 6. Arriving before the park opened it gates to get near the front of the massive queue that soon developed was a good idea! the park at peek times does get very very busy but the gate staff did get the cars flowing through very quickly. As soon as you enter the park early its advisable to get straight on with the drive-thru safari as again this gets very busy towards midday. We were all very impressed with the majority of the safari getting to feed most of of the animals through your window and sunroof for the giraffes! was a bit disappointed with the lions/tigers and other wildcats as none came very close to the road you drive along and were quite hard to spot at times. The price for the actual safri and exhibits in the park like the reptile house and aquariums i found was set just about right and we also received half price ticket vouchers for our return visit later in the year. Summary: a good family day out |
