Could be better (Canon Selphy ES1)

Advantages: wireless printing

Disadvantages: not very quick

We asked for a dedicated photo printer last christmas and got this one from my in-laws. Overall I think it's ok but probably wouldn't have been my choice. It's quite small and neat and easily portable. (very handy if you want to take it with you for a special occasion and print off photos then and there.)

Its very easy to use either plugging camera directly into it, or via pc, or it can also print wirelessly via bluetooth or something technical called IrDA. I have no idea what that is but i can print the photos directly from my mobile phone without downloading to pc first.

Printing of the photos is not the quickest process as it takes about 4 passes per photo but the quality is
good although can be a bit dark, and streaky at times.

One other thing i like is that the ink and the paper come in one package so it's easy to replace, and it's all stored inside the printer so you don't have to find where you left the paper last time you used it!

The software is also very good and makes it easy to select the photo you want and make changes prior to printing.

Overall this could be a very good printer, however the occasional bad print does disappoint, and makes you wish for a bertter make/model

Summary: not bad, but there may be better ones on the market.
