Advantages: Great time save, professional looking labels
Disadvantages: Expensive
Well it looks like I will be the first to review this. Obviously it is not a consumer purchase unless you love to label things and therefore I use it at work..Honest!
For those of you who do not know, the labelwriter hooks up to the pc via a usb slot and with some handy software it becomes very easy to print tidy looking sticky labels. The software itself is very easy to navigate and allows you a relatively large amount of freedom when customising your labels to the design you want.
The 400 turbo allows you a very wide variety indeed of different size and types of labels you can use which is a great positive and really does come in handy, from large postal labels to very small labels, the writer caters for the lot. However the negative to this is that you do indeed hav to purchase packs of the labels, which are not the cheapest, retailing at around £9 each. But in defense of this, they do last quite a long time as so many labels are on one reel. As for the machine itself, the rrp seems to be around £80-£100 which ain't cheap I admit. However this is tolerable if you are inclined to write many, many labels, and I can speak from my experience it is a life saver at work. Seriously consider the product if many things are needed to be labelled for you.
On the downside, there is obviously price as previously discussed. But other such negatives include how adhesive the labels are, and i would suggest not to use the writer labels on a surface that would later wish to take them off of as it will inevitably be a great inconvenience to you.
Hope this helps if you are in the crazy and wild world of label producing
Summary: Worth the money if to be used alot
