Advantages: Easy to use for Basic Needs
Disadvantages: Anything Complicated can prove dangerous
I had one of these installed at work and and 1st I thought it was a great little tool, however, I was soon to learn that it had its problems.
ADVANTAGES
- Easy to use and install - an icon appears on your desk top with an electonic 'label', you simply type what you want to appear and it prints out exactly as it was on the screen.
- Cheap, generally it costs under £70 so cant really complain about the price.
- Convience: This product allows you to print out mail merges from excel document, so that you can create labels for a large number of people, without having to re type the details into the software programme each time.
DISADVANTAGES:
- Loading new Lables into this machine needs special skill, I have had this machine for about a year now and I still cant do it.
- Very often, I will be sitting at my desk not looking at this, and all the labels will start to feed through of their own accord, as if the machine is crying for attention.
- Graphics - it MAY actually be possible, but if it is, it is VERY difficult to work out how to put a graphic, such as a company Logo on the labels you want to print.
All in all, if you have very basic needs, this may be a good machine for you, If i was buying it personaly, i think i would stick to good old mail merge on microsoft word.
Summary: Not a bad wee machine yet still some problems
