Advantages: Novelty factor, easy to use and relatively quick

Disadvantages: expensive paper, very inferior quality, missing some options

This is a fantastic piece of technology that never ceases to amaze my friends and family.
In short: It prints credit card size sticky backed photos by heating special paper. No ink is required, the whole process takes a minute and it can sync with 80% of bluetooth phones on the market.
This is an absolutely ideal gift for anyone that likes taking photos.

Unfortunately the photo quality looks a big faded and the device will randomly crop a portrait image to landscape. It can be hard to get the sticky label off without damaging the corner of the picture and at the current media prices it works out 50% dearer than printing 6x4 photos on a bluetooth photo printer at home.

All these catches demote the printer to being a fancy gadget. The build quality seems ok and this is the new face of polaroid cameras for the future but the technology is still in the early stages of the development. This seems more like an attempt to recooperate development costs to fund the finished product than release a serious product to market.

Summary: Silly present = yes. Serious mobile printer = no.
