Since being introduced to this by my hairdresser over 7 years ago, I have stayed loyal to this product. The main reason is that I just so love the smell of it (is that pathetic?). It smells gorgeous like sweeties, and it makes me happy as I apply it to my hair. Don't get me wrong, the product works really well, but I just love love love the smell of it!

My hair is naturally wavy, and even straightening doesn't make it poker straight, so to smooth it down, I apply a little bit of After Party to my dry hair. You only need a little squirt of the white cream, and it goes on really well and doesn't leave your hair greasy (unless you use too much). Your hands do have a bit of a sheen on them, which you might not like, but I'm in the habit of washing my hands after styling my hair anyway so that doesn't really bother me.

Now the only thing that puts me off slightly, once I noticed the resemblance, is how phallic the packaging looks. Yep, it's like a huge hot pink dildo with a funky spaceman cap on it. Now putting this fact aside, it does look modern and funky, like the rest of the Tigi BedHead range, and try as I might, I just can't find fault with it.

Like other BedHead products, this is a specialist salon product which you can only purchase in salons (and on t'internet from sites such as LookFantastic). These products are a little on the pricey side, and this dildo, sorry, hair smoother, costs you around £15 for 100ml, depending where you buy it from. Although this might sound like a lot, it does last quite a long time as you don't need a lot.

The semi-opaque bulbous pink lid pops off with ease, and the bottle is a pump style which is very easy to dispense. It's hard to dispense too much, which is useful as the way its constructed, you can't really put any excess back in the bottle! As with many pumps, its hard to get all the dregs out from the bottom when you get to the end, but I don't think there's too much wastage involved.

My hair is a lot smoother and silkier after applying this, and this lasts pretty much all day. I haven't really tested it in extreme conditions, but I can't imagine many products can last through those! I have tried serums before to try and keep my hair smooth, but I never really found one that I liked that much.

I really like this product, and unless they stop making it or it gets ridiculously expensive, I will continue to use it! I am knocking a star off simply for the price and the fact its not as easy to get hold of as some hair products.
