Advantages: Smell, Cleans well

Disadvantages: Expensive

I thought it was about time I did a review of Tigi Bed Head Brunette Shampoo as everytime I go for a haircut, they always use this on me and then try and sell me a set for some ridiculous price but I have to say they achieved great results using it, so when I saw the shampoo and conditioner on offer in my local TJ Hughes recently at £4.60 each, I decided I couldn't leave them.

The Tigi brand is a British haircare brand created by Toni & Guy. At first, they were only available within salons but now they are readily available, I have seen the shampoo priced at £10 for a 400ml bottle but often you can get it for cheaper if you shop around in store and online.

The shampoo comes in a tall, oblong shaped transparent bottle, I really like the fact that you are able to see how much you've used and how much you've got left. The shampoo is dispensed through a pump on top, which can be a bit difficult to use in the shower as you find the shampoo going down the drain as you try to close it.

Tigi Bed Head Brunette Goddess Shampoo (quite a mouthful!) promises to make your hair shiny and smooth through its use of nutrients and vitamins, to protect your hair against sunlight and to offer a rich fragrance but does it live it up to the claims?

Essentially yes, if combined with the conditioner, you get lovely soft and shiny hair, full of moisture. The shampoo is quite rich and creamy, so when dispensing you only need a tiny bit, so the bottle last for ages, it lathers up well and smells almost good enough to eat, I like the fact that the smell still lingers for the rest of the day after you've washed it out. However, using it by itself, I find it lacks the oomph that it promises, yes my hair looks and feels soft and smooth.

At the price I paid, I would definitely buy the shampoo again, I really love the fragrance and it does clean well but I think I've still got some way to go before I'm transformed into a Brunette Goddess.

Summary: Yet to turn into a Brunette Goddess
