If you have read my other reviews on hair care products you will already be aware that I have naturally curly hair. On special occasions I like to straighten my hair as it makes me feel like I look different to how I do throughout the week. But as my hair is so fine and curly I have to use a good product that will help to straighten it without it being frizzy.

Along came Bed Head control freak serum! It is a frizz control and straightener serum, so for people like me with naturally curly hair, it is a god send. I bought this from my hairdressers over a year ago, it cost me £10.50 for a 250ml bottle, you may think that this sounds expensive but I have to say that in 18 months of using it I still have three quarters of a bottle left!! Of course it all depends on how often you use it, I tend to use this roughly 2/3 times a month so will probably last me forever!!

The bottle is clear with the name of the product written on the front in black. I like the fact that the bottle is clear as you can see how much you have left. The lid is a silver/grey colour and has a twisting mechanism that opens and closes the hole at the top of the bottle.

On the back of the bottle it states 'Fight the frizz, stomp the curl. Use control freak on wet or dry hair and be sleek and smooth. Control freak is light and greaseless and will resist heat and humidity.

To use this product I wash and condition my hair as usual, towel dry it and then apply the serum. You really only need a tiny amount, I usually squirt about the size of a 10p piece into my hand , rub them together and then evenly apply throughout my hair, including the roots and underneath. I then comb it through to ensure even distribution. I will say that if you apply too much of this product it will leave your hair feeling greasy and unmanageable, so less is really more with this product!!

I have really noticed a difference with this, my hair is much easier to straighten and I do find that it looks very sleek and glossy once done. I also found that it stays straighter for longer and doesn't frizz at all. Therefore I would highly recommend this product for people with curly hair.
