Advantages: Great Smell, Funky bottle for your bathroom, Styles fabulously

Disadvantages: A tad expensive but worth every penny!

For those of you you know me already, you will know that I love Toni + Guy (you can read all about my experiences in another op)When I was a student I regularly attended their Student Academy in London for a cheap, but amazing, £5 haircut. Anyhoo...They like to try out different products from their range on you and this my friends is how I got hooked on their Bed Head range.

Creative Genius was one of the first products they tried on my hair and afterwards I immediately snapped it up and three years later, I still will use nothing else!

The first thing that hit me was it's unusual appearence. The bottle is shaped like no other, very funkily curved and this means very easy to hold too..It has a nozzle at the top which allows you to get a little bit out at a time without getting too messy..no fiddly screw tops to drop on the floor and get carpet stuck to (if you know what I mean!).
Of course that's not the only strange thing about it...as you will notice by it's picture above..yes indeedy it IS blue! And a lovely blue too..it also has a golden shimmer in it which looks amazing in the bottle. EEK! I hear you cry? Nonono...don't worry this product will not turn you hair blue..and in case you hate glimmer..if you have blonde hair it shows a teeny bit (but only if you hunt for it) and now I have dark hair..it doesn't show at all..

The next fabulous thing about this product is its gorgeous smell, which seems to intensify as you blow dry and lingers in you hair for the rest of the day. It's like a mixture of exotic coconut and toffee..like those toasted coconut sweets that you can buy...hmmm...scrummy! My boyfriend actually commented that my hair smelt lovely..which is a bonus by any means!

Ok..so how do you use it?

I have short hair...very choppy and textured..I have a Toni and Guy funky mohawk at the moment...I say this because I only know how much I use and that it works well on textured hair. You
apply a 10p sized glob to towel dried hair and rub it through your hair. Creative Genius is a brilliant name for this product as it allows you to obtain any style you fancy depending on how much you use. I don't use anything else and I can't seem to get my little mowhawk style in place any other way! This also means that if you're in a silly mood you can do all sorts of mad, funny things with your hair! (not like I've done that ever you understand! ;) )

Next you blow dry your hair how you want it. As a result your hair doesn't feel gloopy or rock hard...just right! You can also apply more after you've dried it if you need further styling this I think would be good as an alternative to gel for that wet look. But I don't really use it this way.

I think it would look great in long hair if it had some nice layers cut into it..like Meg Ryan's infamous do. I guess this is a great alternative to the Funky Chunky product she's reknowned to use!

You get 200ml per bottle which is a substantial amount and it lasts quite well. I tend to get a new bottle every 3 or 4 months and I use it every day as I wash my hair every day too. Creative genius is £8 from Toni and Guy salons, although if you keep your eye out you'll spot it in many other hairdressers. It is a professional range so this is why it is harder to find and more expensive, but from using all types of mousses and hairsprays..I can tell you that I will never buy any other styling product now! I do sometimes team it with a little of the Bed Head wax stick or the manipulator, both of which I will try and write some ops on soon.

Anyway I hope you get a chance to try this product for yourselves one day as I really feel I've wasted a lot of time and money on other products which I was never entirely happy with!

Thanks for reading my op..and if you ever fancied one of Toni and Guys trendy haircuts take a look at my other op ;P

Wish I'd known about this when I had really funky hair about 6 months ago. Now it's grown loads and I'm determined not to stop until it gets to my BUM. ;o)

The boyf uses Tigi stuff and he looks dead sexy and I twist the front bit into a palm tree!

YUM!

I've got some 'Fish' hair wax and it smells like coconut and holidays and always makes me want a barcardi for some reason. LOL Great Op. Fishy.x
