Advantages: it gets your hair clean!

Disadvantages: it smells rather too citrus, doesn't lather up that well

I won a competition on Ciao ages ago for an op on hair-dye; my prize was 3 bottles of TIGI Bed Head products. After asking a few girls in work if they had ever heard of the stuff, I found that apparently this range is VERY expensive - cool, I got it for free!

Now usually, when I buy a new shampoo the first thing I look at is the packaging, but with this range though it’s nothing special - in fact it looks really quite cheap. It’s got a cool lid though, like those drinks where you pull it to open (oh, you know what I mean).

It’s got a mix of ‘mega vitamins’ (A, B2, B5, D3 and E) and it’s for people with chemically treated hair (but if you haven‘t got dodgy hair don’t worry, I imagine the shampoo wouldn‘t know), it comes in a 350ml bottle (so it’ll last a while) and it’s ...... bright orange..... Don’t quite understand why, but hey as long as the colour doesn’t transfer to my hair, I’m happy!

I squeezed enough into my hand (about the old 50p size) and it didn’t really lather up that well. Even with a second go it didn’t froth up as much as some other shampoos I’ve used, but as long as my hair is clean - I‘m happy. The smell is relatively nice, quite ’orangey’ so it might not be the first thing you want to smell in the morning! (especially after a boozy night). It does rinse relatively quickly though.

Verdict? - well, if I hadn’t have won it, I certainly wouldn’t have bought it, at 6 quid (ish) a bottle I want a shampoo to do something amazing. This definitely doesn’t do that for me. I’ve had the bottle in my bathroom cabinet for about 6 months now and only half of it has gone. That says a lot to me.

Other people might rave on about how wonderful it is, but I can’t stop thinking about Original Source’s ‘grapefruit and orange shower gel’. Apparently
you can only buy this shampoo from Toni & Guy salons or online, but if you want to try it out, e-mail me and I'll send you the rest of my bottle!

I got some Tigi stuff from Ciao too but have to admit that I didn't like it very much.

I know what you mean, loulou, I love lather too and even though I KNOW its not the bubbles that get your hair clean, it still feels better to have a big froth of bubbles on my head when I'm washing my hair!
