Advantages: Smells good, short term results are impressive, leaves hair looking fuller

Disadvantages: The results are not long lasting and only a quick fix

I have recently written a couple of reviews about some successful Tigi branded products that I have used. I was first introduced to the brand when visiting my local hairdresser, I was instantly hooked but never realised up until quite recently that the brand is now quite easy to purchase, whether that be in the Hairdressers, online or from specific high street stores. I have always suffered with a lack of volume going through my hair and so when looking and researching online I stumble across the Tigi S Factor Body Booster Plumping Spray (quite a mouthful I know!) Even with the long name it did not take long to find that this product promises a boost in volume to your hair so after doing a little searching around for the best price I made my purchase.

I got this product on EBay and it cost me £8.49. This was for the 200ml bottle and it was a brand new item with no extra to be paid of postage and packaging. I know my local hairdresser supplies this, but at a slightly more expensive price as well as finding it at www.hqhair.com and www.cheapsmells for around the same price. I don't think you should be applying more than the £9.00 mark after looking around.

The design of this product is slightly more toned down than the shampoos and conditioners I have owned, it is in a classy looking bottle and is not to vibrant in colour, in fact it is mainly white in shade. On the front of the plastic bottle are the Tigi S logo (I am still looking into what the S stands for) and the long name of the product. On the reverse of the bottle is a breakdown of the ingredients that have been used as well as directions for use and a little information on what this product promises. The idea behind this is simply to give your hair that added lift, it is to give 'movable and a soft body to the hair' and so I was keen to give this spray ago.

You are instructed that you can use this spray in either wet or dry hair. I always tend to use in the dry hair as I have found when using it in the wet hair, the spray almost loses some of its power as it interacts with the water and moisture in my hair, it is as if it is almost diluted in some way so I soon ruled that option out and proceeded to try it on dry hair. The shape of the bottle allows you to grip it really well and once you have taken the small plastic cap of the top you will see the pump nozzle and can begin.

I think the first thing that I noticed with this product is the scent, like many Tigi products the smell is a talking point and this one is no different, it is a really sweet scent that is sprayed through your hair and it almost was like a citrus and possibly peach smell that was left in my hair, it was a little to sweet for me that is just personal opinion. The smell also remains in your hair until you wash it again. The spray is quite a thick texture and a cloudy colour but I tip my head upside down and spray an then just work the spray through with a brush so that I have a good even coverage.

I think the results are good, but not really good! The spray does give an instant and noticeable lift to my hair; I guess it has more bounce in it and it looks great but the results are not that long lasting and if I use this of a morning by mid day the results have almost disappeared. It is a great spray to use to give that extra bounce and volume if you are off out for an evening but if you want the results to last all day long then I cannot recommend it.

This is quite an expensive volume spray and I dint think you can really justify the price for the short stay results. The smell is slightly sweet and this may also put some off. It is good when it lasts but its a shame it doesn't last longer.

3 out of 5 from me
