Tigi Bed Head ~ Strawberry Lemonade ~ Body Wash
I discovered the Tigi Bed Head range of body washes and moisturisers a few months ago when I was buying Tigi shampoo and conditioner from EBay. I thought that Tigi only manufactured hair care products so I was quite surprised when I realised that they had a wide range of bath and body products too. The Tigi Bed Head Strawberry Lemonade body wash was one of the first ones I bought mainly because I like the smell of strawberries. There are about 6 different scented body washes in the Tigi Bed Head range and I have tried and tested 4 of them so far. As well as the body wash you can also buy the matching moisturiser which helps to compliment and layer the scent.
I paid £3.95 for a 350ml bottle of the Strawberry Lemonade Body Wash which was quite cheap considering I pay about £2 for a 250ml bottle of Radox shower gel. As you can see from the picture at the top of this review, the bottle of body wash is quite plainly designed. The bottle is made from pink squeezable plastic and has a silver grey coloured sports style lid. Usually when I'm buying body washes I like to buy the ones which are sold transparent bottles because I can see how much I am using and how much is left in the bottle; but I will make an exception for this one because I like it. I think that the bottle looks more like a bottle of shampoo or conditioner than a body wash.
I was actually quite surprised with the consistency of the body wash because it was really thick and not what I was expecting at all. The best thing about the consistency of the body wash is the fact that it lathers up really good and you don't have to use a lot of it. I find two blobs the size of a fifty pence piece were sufficient enough to get washed with. The body wash produced a very thick and creamy lather on my skin almost instantly; which felt as if it was moisturising as well as cleaning my skin. After I got out the bath and got dried my skin felt really moisturised, it had a really silky smooth feel quite similar to the way it feels after I have applied moisturiser.
The fragrance from the body wash is delicious, it smells good enough to eat. The body wash also leaves my skin highly fragranced and the fragrance lingers on my skin for about 4 hours after I have bathed. Now the aroma from the body wash is gorgeous, it smells like strawberries and cream. The fragrance also has a sharp undertone which is presumably the Lemonade as the body wash is called Strawberry Lemonade.
The aroma which the body wash leaves on my skin isn't heave or overpowering it is a really light sweet fragrance. This is one of the main reasons I like it because the aroma doesn't seem to overpower any perfumes or deodorants I am wearing. I think that the scent from the body wash is quite feminine although my husband has used it once and didn't seem to complain about the fragrance from it. So I just suppose it depends if you like the scent of strawberries and cream or not.
I like to use the body wash with my exfoliating gloves because it produces a really thick lather and the exfoliating gloves don't fell as harsh on my skin. I really like this body wash because it is reasonably priced, depending on where you purchase it from. I would say that EBay is probably the best place to purchase it from.
You can also purchase the Tigi Strawberry Lemonade moisturiser to compliment and layer the scent of the body wash. I find that when I use the matching moisturiser that my skin feels a lot softer and smoother and the fragrance also There are also another five different fragranced body washes and moisturisers available in the Tigi Bed Head range which are listed below.
