Advantages: softens, adds shine, smells lovely

Disadvantages: expensive

As per my earlier reviews on the diamond dreams shampoo and dream drops, I received this conditioner last Christmas as part of a set. A 250ml bottle of this conditioner can be purchased for around £10 online, or a salon sized 750ml bottle for around £17 (pricier than the associated shampoo!).

I have a 250ml bottle which is a flat rectangle shape as pictured above but has a light pink 'S' emblazoned on the front (this is lighter in colour than on the shampoo bottle so you can tell them apart quickly and easily in the shower). The conditioner is infused with diamonds, cashmere and pearls so, as you would expect from this, is somewhat of a luxury product. Yet it is suitable for everyday use. The conditioner is designed to add shine, hydrate the hair and improve hair strength. The advertising for this conditioner states that ' Diamond Dust, Cashmere and Crushed Pearls create a multi-dimensional shimmer adding depth and richness to your color while protecting and conditioning your hair'.

The conditioner is squeezed easily from the bottom of the bottle (on which it stands so even when nearly empty it is easily extracted). It is white in colour and very thick in consistency. It has a really strong and unique scent - one which I can not describe but is very pleasant nonetheless. I have long thick hair and usually only need a dollop roughly the size of a ten pence piece to apply thoroughly to my mid-lengths and ends. I leave this once applied for 5 minutes and then rinse off. It does take a while to ensure that this is rinsed off thoroughly - it feels quite heavy in your hair. Once rinsed though, I can feel the softness in my hair already, and the scent lingers too, which is lovely.

After several uses (in conjunction with the shampoo from this range), my hair definitely felt in much better condition. It felt softer, smoother and just generally more cared for. There was added shine and it looked and felt healthier overall. My hair was also easier to manage (although I do not think it has any straightening benefits etc, so not sure why this was!) and my colour seemed to hold better and for longer after dying. The conditioner bottle did seem to last a long while, certainly longer than the shampoo, as only a small amount is needed per application so, although it expensive to buy initially, it does seem to be relatively good value. I love the effect that this has had on my hair and will definitely purchase it again - not because of the 'luxury' ingredients (I'm unconvinced as to the benefits of these!), but because of the delightful fragrance and the improved condition of my hair.

Summary: lovely, effective conditioner
