Tigi Bead Head ~ Strawberry Lemonade ~ Body Lotion
I discovered the Tigi range of body washes and moisturisers a few months ago on EBay when I was buying Tigi Catwalk Fashionista Shampoo. I didn't know that Tigi manufactured bath and body products; I thought that they only manufactured hair care products. So I was quite surprised when I noticed that they had a wide range of different scented body lotions and body washes. The first of their body washes and body lotions which I bought was the Strawberry Lemonade scented ones mainly because I love the smell of Strawberries. In total there are six different scented body washes and lotions in the Bed Head range; I have tried five of the six different scented lotions and potions.
I buy quite a lot of lotions and potions from EBay because it costs a lot less than buying from online retailers and high street stores. I paid £3.99 for 250ml of the Tigi Bed Head Strawberry Lemonade Body Lotion which is quite cheap considering I pay between £8-12 for different perfumed body lotions in Boots.
Most of the time when I buy body lotions and moisturisers I am quite disappointed with the consistency of them. Some are either too thin or greasy and others have horrible scents and don't moisturise my skin; but I was quite pleased with this one because it is really thick and creamy and smells good enough to eat. Sometimes thick body lotions are difficult to apply because they don't spread evenly across your skin and they take a while to dry in. But the Tigi Strawberry Lemonade body lotion was really easy to apply and didn't long to absorb and dry into my skin. Because of the thick and creamy consistency of the body lotion I find that I don't have to use a lot of it because it glides easily across my skin and spreads evenly. I find that two big blobs approximately the size of fifty pence pieces are more than enough to cover my body.
When I am applying the Strawberry Lemonade body lotion I like to start at my feet and work my way up my body; I find that if I massage the moisturiser into my skin using small circular motions that it evenly distributes the body lotion onto my skin and it is absorbed very quickly. I love the feel of this body lotion when I am applying it because it doesn't feel sticky, greasy or oily like quite a lot of the other perfumed body lotions I have used in the past. As soon as I dispense the body lotion and start massaging it into my skin I can immediately smell the gorgeous Strawberry aroma from it.
I love the fact that this particular body lotion is absorbed into my skin really quickly because there's nothing worse than having to wait around for ages waiting on it to dry and absorb into your skin before you can get dressed. I was actually really pleased with the moisturising capabilities from the body lotion and the way it left my skin feeling extremely soft and smooth. As well as moisturising my skin the body lotion also left it with a gorgeous scent which was almost good enough to eat. The fragrance from the body lotion isn't a heavy or overpowering aroma it has a really light creamy and fruity aroma which smells almost identical to the Tigi Bed Head Strawberry Lemonade Body Wash. The only difference between the aroma from the body wash and the lotion is the fact that the body lotion had more of a creamier fragrance.
I love the fragrance which it leaves on my skin because it smells like similar to strawberries and cream which is one of my favourite scents. The creamy strawberry aroma also has a really subtle sharp undertone which is barely noticeable, I presume the undertone which I can detect is Lemons or Lemonade because the body lotion is named Strawberry Lemonade. The strawberry aroma from the body lotion isn't at all overpowering or heavily scented, it is really subtle and wont mask or overpower any perfumes or deodorants you are wearing. I find that the strawberry fragrance lasts on my skin for about 3 hours before it gradually fades away. Although if I layer the scent and use the Strawberry Lemonade body wash and then use the body lotion the fragrance lasts on my skin for about 5 or 6 hours. This is because the scents are layered and when you layer a scent it tends to last a lot longer on your skin. The added benefits of using the body lotion and the body wash is the fact that your skin will be a lot softer and moisturised.
