Breville PT47 ... moving into our new house my husband and I decided it was only fitting to treat our new kitchen to some new appliances. After scouring catalogues and electrical stores we decided upon the breville PT47. It holds four slices of bread making breakfast time quicker in a very hectic household. The heat setting can be varied from 1 to 6 for those of us who prefer our toast at different levels of brown and crunch but we have discovered that if you need to use the toaster more than once in one sitting that all the slices come out burnt no matter what heat setting you have selected. Kenwood TT391 ... was pretty disappointed with this product. I don t expect bells and whistles from a £19.99 toaster however did hope for more than I got. I have had several Kenwood items in the past andhave never had issue withthem but thisone quality-wise is below par in my opinion. I found it took a long time for the toaster to "get going". Turned to setting 4 is usually sufficient for some well done (not burnt) toast in a minute or two - this takes a good four minutes. I also found that the cancel button kept sticking before too long (not on purchase therefore not delivered faulty) and the overall presentation was adequate but not fantastic. Russell Hobbs 13766 ... bought this toaster two weeks ago as our other one had packed up. We bought a cheaper one made by a company called hayden first but it was a load of rubish to be honest, it burnt the toast on every setting so it had to be returned. In the end after reading several reviews on differn t toasters we decided to go for the russell hobbs 13766, it wasn t the cheapest toaster at £25 nor was it the dearest i guess it was a mid-range toaster. It s a very basic toaster with very few settings but that is what i wanted really just something that did not burn the toast.
