Advantages: Looks Pretty on the Bunker

Disadvantages: Burns toast easily

After moving into our new house my husband and I decided it was only fitting to treat our new kitchen to some new appliances. After scouring catalogues and electrical stores we decided upon the breville PT47. It holds four slices of bread making breakfast time quicker in a very hectic household. The heat setting can be varied from 1 to 6 for those of us who prefer our toast at different levels of brown and crunch but we have discovered that if you need to use the toaster more than once in one sitting that all the slices come out burnt no matter what heat setting you have selected.

There are vertical blue lights that run down the front of the toaster which are used to indicate the remaining time - these are quite asthetically pleasing but I cant say they offer much practical use.

The best thing about this paticular model is the fact that the handle cannot be depressed without the appliance being plugged in an switched on which is very useful if, like me you can be a bit absent minded in the morning. However I do not feel this is a feature unique to the Breville toaster.

Other features include a toast reheat button, a bread defrost button and a crumb catcher.

I wouldn't buy this product again.
