Advantages: Design
Disadvantages: Over toasts, cost
We bought this toaster in the hope that we would save on electricity, it only being a two slicer and us all having breakfast at different times.
I think, in the long term, it was a bit of a mistake however.
The design is quite stylish, in brushed chrome effect it looks quite fetching on my black counter tops. Some of its features aren't bad either. It has a crumb tray that removes on a push action, a cancel button and another saying 'crumpet' although I've not used that one.
There is a dial which sets how brown you want your toast, but I've found that anything more than 1 can have a cremating effect, which I'm not too keen on.
It's fairly easy to clean and is reliable after three years of use.
In hindsight, I would have been better off spending my £40 (House of Fraser) on a four slice toaster. I think it might be OK if you are single or a couple but with a family of five who always seem to have someone staying over at the weekends, it's not up to the mark. When it finally blows up I will get myself a bigger toaster, promise.
Summary: Looks good but not practical enough

- 20/02/09 £40 for that ? Lordy. If it has a cool wall then perhaps its worth the price. Then again its quite blocky looking and quite fashionable. Shouldn't be discounted just because its not large enough to cope though. |

- 20/02/09 Short but to the point. I agree that a four slot toaster is ideal - even a couple can't get breakfast in one 'round' of toast with a two slot. |
