Advantages: ??? cheap
Disadvantages: flaw in design - infuriating!!!!
Do not buy this appliance. Yes it was reasonably cheap for a two slice toaster but more false economy. Its very difficult to clean and the crumbs are not all caught in the tray at the bottom.
It does not matter where you turn the dial to tell how much you want it toasted, it does what it likes! I set it to how I like my toast, which it manages to do, then seems to overtoast or undertoast the next time i use it. The only way I can get round this is to cook it bit by bit to ensure it does not burn.
The most annoying thing about this appliance is that the crumbs fall over the top panel where the bread is inserted and into the cracks between the metal top part and the plastic sides and stay there - you can't get them out. I have tipped it upside down but it still does not get rid of them!
Really I think this is a design fault with the appliance, the sides and top panel should be flush to prevent this.
The good point is that it is quite compact and would be suitable for a smaller kitchen or one with reduced bench space. It is even small enough to designate a space in a cupboard when not in use (once its cooled, obviously). The exact dimensions are height 23.1 x width 29.7 x depth 18.6cm and you can eject the toast before the time is up.
It is ideal if you just want something to make do but please do not buy this as a permanent appliance.
Summary: toaster a no go!
