Overall this is not a product I can highly recommend as it can't do the simplest part right

Having fairly recently decided to replace some of the items in my kitchen I decided it was time for a new toaster and wanted one that could do 4 slices so when I spotted this little Breville on offer for just £25 I decided it was well worth it but has it been the bargain I hoped for?

      Pros:
This is a very nice looking toaster with polished stainless steel and black plastic matching together to create a stylish look. The buttons when this is on illuminate a bright blue which makes it look match together with the shine and sleek to create a modern and stylish look.
The toaster itself is very simple to use thanks to the large black sliders at the front of the toaster to push the toast down and start the heating process. This for me makes the toaster fit nicer into the kitchen as I don't need to worry about getting my arm down the side (as with many other toasters out there) so can leave less space between this and other appliances.
The toaster has a few features to allow you to not just toast but also to reheat, defrost, cancel your toasting mid way through (a button for this rather than pulling to sliders up). It also has an extra high lift available by simply pulling the sliders up to the highest they can go to make it easier and safer to remove your toast (you are further away from the area which will have the most heat escape).
Simple browning controls thanks to the knobs on the front mean you simply turn to your desired level (the higher the number the browner the toast) and that is you set (this will remain at the setting you put it to so no need to do this everytime either). The thing I liked most about this feature was that there are two browning control knobs so that you can have your side and your partner theirs without you needing to keep altering settings and this is exactly what my wife and I have done with our toaster.
A removeable crumb tray helps you to easily and quickly empty out all those crumbs that can and do build up at the bottom of the toaster.
This also comes with a non slip base and so can be put on a small work surface without needing to worry about it falling off when the toast pops up.
Heats four slices of bread with little fuss or you can simply use two slices as the controls are for 2 sets of 2 slices.
This toaster heats up fairly quickly so it will allow you to have your toast without needing to wait around for five minutes like others do.
Good value for money - I paid only £25 for this and for a named product offering a 4 slice toaster that is a very good price.

      Negatives:
There is only one negative for me but I did/do find this to be something I mark it down for a huge amount and that is that it can't toast a normal loaf slice of bread fully as it is not deep enough (it will normally miss out the top inch or so of bread) meaning that you need to flip the bread over and put it back in which causes the central part of the slice of bread to then be toaster more than you want. Like I said one small flaw but a huge impact on how you rate something like this.

Overall the toaster has the looks and the feel of a great piece of kit and I got mine for a good price so that it looks like it is going to be a really great product but when a toaster can't even toast a slice of bread fully then I have to take issue with this and mark it down accordingly.

The Breville VTT002 four slot four slice polished stainless steel toaster is a sleek and smart addition to any kitchen boasting a number of helpful features. It has variable width slots allowing breads of various thicknesses to be fully toasted, so whether it's a small slice or something a bit bulkier--all sizes are properly accommodated. And it has two variable browning controls allowing you to choose how dark or light you like your toast and with one control per two slices, you can your toast four slices to two different preferences. Features include a reheat button which brings cooled toast back up to temperature without burning it; a defrost button which automatically lengthens the toasting time to allow for the defrosting of frozen bread and a mid-cycle cancel button allowing you to stop the toasting process as and when you want to. Remove smaller items without burning your fingers thanks to the extra-high lift which raises the bread carriage for easier access. And keep crumb mess to a minimum with the removable crumb tray which collects any crumbs that may fall from the bread as you toast it. The VTT002 is also fitted with illuminated blue buttons for easy use, stylish sloped breading slots, cord storage and a non-slip base.
