Breville VTT090 ... this toaster simply because it co-ordinated with my Breville kettle but was more than happy with my choice! It toasts evenly and has a lot of settings that are useful for veryday family living such as the reheat and defrost modes (the defrost one is used nearly every day!). The option to toast just 2 rather than 4 slices all at once also means you ca save energy unlike some other 4 slice toaster which heat the whole toaster regardless of the number of slices you ve put in. The only disadvantage is it seems to create a lot of crumbs and you need to keep adjusting the settings depending on the thickness of slice and whether you have one or two slices in as it can be... Breville TR16 Easy-Clean ... ve had this toaster for 8 months now, and it seems to fit the bill. I love the fact that I can take the plates off and wash them. My previous toasters would get so manky, and so hard to clean! I ended up throwing them after a couple months. You can see we go through a ridiculous amount of toasted sandwiches! The Breville toaster looks very well made. I got mine in silver, which looks even better than the white. You can see it is not a cheap toastie machine. I managed to break the clip off most of my previous toasters, but this one seems sturdy, no matter how much the sandwich is filled.
