I purchased this toaster from Argos a couple of months ago and now feel I've used it long enough to give it a thorough review. The Cookworks Signature toaster is available from Argos at the price of £16.99, quite reasonable for a 4 slice toaster I though. The toaster itself is quite stylish looking, even considering the low price. It is silver in colour with the main outer body, levers and knobs all being in a cool touch plastic, with the toaster slots being finished in a silver metal. Quite a compact square shape of toaster (only h 16cm x w 26cm x d 24cm in size) and therefore not taking up too much room on the worktop, which was just exactly ... Read the complete review

I got this toaster because of the convenience of toasting 4 pieces of bread at once. Before this I had always had a 2 piece or a grill, and when you are trying to feed a few people this 4 slots certainly helps. Cost: I brought this for around £20, and now it retails at £17.99 at Argos, which isn't bad. It has good durability - had it for over a year and it stills fine. I find that with cheaper models the inside of the toaster can snap or break, causing an obvious fire hazard (which has happened to me before). Features: My favourite thing about this toaster is that is works with 2 heating settings for the different slots, so one can be on for 2 ... Read the complete review

We decided to buy a 4 slice toaster after our 2 slice toaster broke - and we are glad we did. Its much more convenient if like us, you find yourselves often wanting more than 2 slices at a time, or even wanting other things as well like crumpets or pancakes. I would say the quality of this product is reasonable for the price and it looks nice and presentable alongside our other silver appliances. There are 2 sides to the toaster each holding 2 slices of toast. There is a heat setting dial on each side depending on how well done you like your toast to be. There is also a 'defrost' setting on each side but I tend not to need to use this. My negative points over this .. Read the complete review

I got this toaster as a "flat" warming gift a few years ago. It still works perfectly with no problems so I would recommend it. Each to slots have thier own heat settings and cancel bottons. Being able to cook 4 slices of toast with 2 different heat settings is an added bounce when you are a couple. I also find the cancel bottons useful since pressing the handle up could break the toaster with time. I didn't notice that some types of bread don't fit fully but then again I am not fussy about my toast. It looks quite nice but it does take up some space so not ideal for smaller kitchens. I find it a bit hard to clean although it has 2 ... Read the complete review
