De'Longhi Toaster: Style over substance or actually both at the same time?

DeLonghi CTO4003 Icona
Advantages: Safe, easy to use, easy to clean and very good quality toast
Disadvantages: The crumb tray can be a little difficult to push back in once it's been used
I purchased this De'Longhi Icona toaster with a matching kettle. It wasn't part of a deal per se, but I believed they would complement each other perfectly - and this is exactly what they do.
Starting with a bit of description as to what the toaster offers, it is designed to toast four slices at once, gives the choice of six different browning levels (so whatever type of toast you like, you can achieve this rather easily) and has a crumb tray to prevent your kitchen surfaces from being covered by, well, crumbs obviously! Considering I'd never owned a toaster before I bought this a while back, I was surprised that it had as many features as it did. From being used to toasting bread under my grill all of my life and often coming close to burning my house down by accident, this gave me a feeling of security that it would never have to happen again!
As I previously mentioned, it matches up well with the colour of the kettle, which for reference purposes can be found here: http://members.dooyoo.co.uk /kettles/de-longhi-icona-kbo3001-r-jug-kettle/1465 064/
It looks as stylish as the above product, and it offers glamour to the appearance of your kitchen. If you enjoy continuity between related products, then you're on to a winner with this pair. It's easy, and I mean very easy, to clean, and the fact that it's designed in a way as to not display fingerprints is wonderful for those who are careless (such as me!) or often move appliances around a lot. It brightens up the place with its shiny classic Italian design, and it's well balanced by consistent efficiency.
The only downsides possible with this toaster are minimal - if you use rather big slices of bread, it may fail to completely toast a corner. Also, once done, the bread might spring out quite forcefully - so be careful it's not close to the edge of anywhere! In my opinion, I enjoy this element to it, it's kind of cartoony sometimes in the manner which it propels up into the air!
If you're looking for an old-fashioned toaster, or something classy, then this really should be right up your street. It may be pricey, however, it's a price worth paying because like the kettle, it's going to last a very long time. It's effective, reliable and cheerful. You won't regret spending a few extra pounds on this for the results you're able to get. Enjoy your toasting!
Note: Some places charge around £70 for this product. I believe you can get it from Amazon for slightly cheaper, at around the £60 mark.
Summary: A stylish toaster which will be of great service to you
