Advantages: Stylish, excellent performance.

Disadvantages: Crumbs.

The review I'm writing is about the cream version of this toaster, I also have the matching kettle which I have reviewed recently.

Unlike the kettle, I have been very pleased with the overall performance of this toaster.

**The look
It has a very stylish matt cream finish with silver buttons and handle. It goes beautifully with my kitchen which is also mainly cream, I think coloured toasters and kettles are just a bit more funky than their silver counterparts.

**The size
I think it is slightly larger than average for a 2 slice toaster, approx 6" deep, 11" wide and 8" high, so may take up a little bit more room but it does make it look good and chunky, it has a pleasing rounded shape. Very nicely designed.

**The features
On the side there is a handle to lower bread into toaster mechanism, a gauge with knob to choose colour and three buttons. The first button is a Defrost option, the second is a Stop/cancel button and the third is to Reheat.

The first and third buttons have a red light above to let you know they have been selected.

I wasn't sure whether I would use the defrost or reheat buttons (surely it just does the same toasting thing!) but actually they are quite handy if like me you reheat your toast only to forget until it's burnt.

**The performance
It toasts evenly and consistently, I have absolutely no complaints with the performance of this toaster. I have used to defrost and reheat with excellent results. The stop button is swift and prevents the need to pull up the handle.

**The verdict
Pricewise, this toaster is quite expensive at around £45.00 but I have found it to be reliable and stylish, hopefully it will continue to perform to this level and make it worth it's inital outlay. The only slight down side I can think of is that it doesn't have a crumb tray like some models do - so more cleaning for me!

Summary: Looks lovely, tastes lovely.

I used to always wonder about reheat and defrost buttons but like you, found out the hard way what they are useful for!

BTW in the user manual the crumb tray is located at the front.
