The plastic coating is tough and durable and hard to scratch meaning this should stay in tip top condition for a long time. You know what kitchens are like, it could easily get hit with a pan or tray...this would stand that test.

My toaster broke recently and I sought to replace it with a more expensive model that would not only look good in my recently remodelled kitchen but that would also have some durability about it so that I won't find myself seeking to replace in a while.
