To toast or not to toast!!!

Advantages: individual settings - lovely design
Disadvantages: flimsy and lightweight
Well this is a superb toaster in looks but in reality is it a superb toaster in quality?
I love toasters, I love toast and after redecorating i decided my retro red one just didn't cut it. So after much perusal of toasters i decided that with my very hungry brood of 5(we all love toast) that this four slice, 6 heat setting , individual set slice toaster was just the ticket. It stands out on any shelf in any shop and it looks lovely sat in my kitchen!
It is black and silver with an array of settings on the front(which turn out to be really easy to use) which just scream quality and expense.
So you can imagine my disappointment when it arrived that it felt quite lightweight. Almost flimsy inside and i was petrified if one of the kids got their heavy hands on it it would be a very short lived toaster.
It features are the basics and a couple of added features to boot - the thing that swung it for me was the ability to have each section on a different setting(no more popping up early for my youngest and re toasting for my eldest~)- this feature does work and work well. The heat settings are actually all different, so rather than 1 being just like 4 which is actually just like 6 there are 6 very individual heat settings with different results. The defrost works without making your toast go hard(as with some cheaper brands it does)
I only paid £35.00 for this which i later learned was a bargain as it still sells for about £50.00. Is it worth £35.00 - yes, is it worth £50.00 plus- i personally don't think so.
One more thing to note is isn't the easiest thing to keep clean, every fingerprint shows up and it does take regular cleaning(after every use) to keep up the appearence.
All in all a good toaster which is perfect for a family where people have different toast tastes. A lovely design which incorporates a classic retro design with a hint of the modern.
Summary: Overall a great toaster, perfect for a family who wants a lovely look
