Advantages: Good Temp control, well designed
Disadvantages: Quite large and bulky, expensive
I had this toaster for about a year, its a very well made device.
The general design is different to the standard square box toaster The large dials that move the brownness gauge is accurate, This machine is great even when doing several batches after another you dont have to drop the guage that much.
We use it for warming bagels a lot so the dedicated button is really good only using the middle set of heaters so the tops and bottoms aren't burnt.
The buttons on the front are defrost, to toast from frozen or if the gauge is low just defrost. Bagel as I mentioned only uses two of the four heaters, reheat and cancel which is self explanatory.
The cleaning is pretty easy the crumb bit at the bottom catches bits well so not a complete mess over the worktop, cleaning is done easily. The rubber feet are quite sticky so moving the toaster around it judders and shakes some bits free, just lifting fixes that problem.
The only annoying feature is frequently when doing pitta bread they pop up and get caught on the rails of the bread holder causing them to rip and get stuck, the rails are pretty far spaced out so smaller slices of bread sometimes get caught as well.
The lift to pop up further is still a bit short for crumpets and pancakes but most suffer with this problem.
Its a pretty fast but not too fast that its hard to control the colour, the slots are quite large and take a decent size roll but dont try and get anything too large it will get stuck at the top causing a mess and probably very burnt bread.
Summary: Slightly steep but doesnt burn everything
