The Delonghi sleek and sexy toaster.
My husband and I received this toaster for a housewarming present from my in-laws. (I believe it retials for about £40-£50.) We had just bought a new house so needed a nice new snazzy toaster. In fact the only reason in the beginning for selecting this Delonghi toaster was that we loved the way it looked. It has a very sleek and sexy design, it is curved at the front so looks very stylish and is a lovely gun-metal grey colour so it works well in any sort of kitchen. The knobs on it are a nice silver colour so they blend in well with the rest of the toaster and it looks really good quality not like the usual plastic toasters. We also got the matching kettle to go with it.
In spite of just picking it for its look we ended up really liking this toaster. The best thing about it is that it has duel controls. There is space in the toaster for 4 pieces of toast. I like my toast quite light and my husband likes it quite dark. On either side of the toaster there is a knob that allows you to control the shade of two slices of toast. The numbers go from 1 (very light) to 6 (very dark). That way I can have my toast my way and my husband can have it his way. An absolutely incredible invention and I don't know why toasters didn't invent it a long time ago.
The other great thing is that the spaces for the slices of toast are quite large, larger than your average toaster so you can toast the end slice of the loaf, bagels, small rolls etc without getting it jammed in the toaster and then burning it!
They also have a stop/cancel button for each side so you can stop your toast from toasting if you think it is done.
Another nice feature is the defrost button. I freeze a loaf of bread so it lasts longer but often forget to get it out of the freezer so this feature is great as I can take my very frozen piece of bread, pop it on this cycle and it will come out nice and fresh. There is also a reheat button/option so if your toast goes a bit cold before you have a chance to eat it you can pop it back in the toaster and warm it up without toasting it and burning it again.
We have had this now for about two years and it is still working perfectly, no need to fix it at all. It's also very easy to clean. The outside has a very nice wipe clean surface and to get out the toast crumbs is very easy.
All in all if you are looking for a design statement in your kitchen that actually toast bread as well you have found it, a perfect kitchen appliance!!
Summary: A great looking toaster than will look fab on your kitchen counter and works well!
