Advantages: Fantastic look and great for enhancing your kitchen
Disadvantages: Very slow at toasting, even on the highest setting
My wife wanted one of these and also the matching kettle. When I saw the price I really did drag my feet about getting one. Luckily for me her mum bought it for us as a moving in present. I must admit it does look great in the kitchen, but that's about it.
I love toast in the morning, but the fact that I can have my cereal and make a cup of tea and still be waiting for the toaster to finish toasting my bread is wrong. It does have six settings, and trust me I always have it on the highest setting (6), but it takes an age.
So if you want a nice looking kitchen appliance that will enhance the look of your kitchen buy it, but if you want toast in less than 15 mins then dont as this thing must think its candle powered.
The matching kettle actually does do its job and boils quickly and looks great.
Summary: Looks great but takes too long to toast

- 18/05/09 Welcome to Dooyoo.
A good start here. If I was to buy it Id like some more info such as:
Actual cost price
Cleaning it
Is it a bulky design or easy to store / locate?
General durability and design.
Any reheat/defrost/warm up functions?
Add ing info isn't compulsory but you could be informing buyers with deeper info. If you update your review please message me.

PS Most kettles on the market are pretty quick these days due to their high watts of power. Toasters don't tend to have high elements so they rarely "beat" the kettle. Try shaking the toaster over a sink rather than just relying on the crumb tray. Sometimes crusty bread can clog up the main element grids and a good shake rids it. |
