Delonghi CTO4003 ... had a Kenwood toaster that was just out of warranty and the filament appeared to have burned out. I wasn t happy but I liked that toaster as it had bun heater attachment and long slots for pitta bread etc. Anyway I wasn t happy that this had happened so soon so I purchased the Delonghi CTO 4003 in red, which is beautiful. What makes this better? It is solidly built, it looks good and it can do things like croissants and bagels. It has a setting that allows it to only toast one side of the bread or roll etc! It also toasts very evenly and you can very accurately set the colour of the toast. It has four slots and two work independently of the other two so saving power and... Delonghi CT04A ... start off with it worked well, but as time went by it became less and less effective. I am now at the point (4 months later) where I need to turn the dials to the highest setting, wait for the bread to pop out and then put it in for another while before it turns into actual toast (instead of warm bread). But on the other hand it is beautiful with its Retro styling, and chrome dials and levers. It has the advantage of having reheat, cancel and defrost buttons (which all work well), as well as handy trays for cleaning out any unwanted crumbs at the bottom of the toaster. DeLonghi CT04E Toaster ... DeLonghi CT04E cream coloured toaster is certainly pleasing on the eye. At first glance you could be forgiven for mistaking it for an old style radio with its retro dials, basic buttons and all round classical appearance. With an aesthetical appeal such as this it would sit comfortably in the majority of kitchens regardless of their design. Features The toaster features 4 variable width slots operated by the 2 sliders on the front (2 slots each) which feature an extra lift facility to assist the removal of smaller sized items such as crumpets and muffins.
