Advantages: Good controls, sturdy and attractive
Disadvantages: A bit expensive
This toaster is excellent - great to look at, with a nice design (and a few colour options), and a good, even toasting capability. The buttons also feel good and solid and there's a good range on the timer control, meaning you can set it for just the right amount of time for different items (crumpets, bagels, bread etc). it's also really good for defrosting bread, and tends to heat right through before toasting the outside (there have been many times with other toasters where I've put a piece of bread in and it's remained frozen in the middle!). (I'd recommend buying from John Lewis as you get a good guarantee, and their staff are generally much more professional and well trained to give you the best advice depending on your needs.) My only criticism would be the price - they are expensive for what you get, but time will tell if it's worth it! I expect a toaster to last a good 5 years, so hopefully my Dualit will!
Summary: If you've got the money, go for it!
