This was bought as a present for us just over a year ago and is great. As it was a present I'm not sure on the cost but having just had a look online, I see they're selling for about £60.

Ours is red and looks stylish and modern. The controls are chunky and reliable, the crumb tray works and is easy to slide in and out to empty and replace. There is a cancel button for when you need to abort that toast, and the usual standard dial at the side to control how well done you want the toast, too. It doesn't slip (as others have in the past) so the toast is consistent even when the thickness of the slice varies. Science, eh? Genius. It also has a button you can press for when the bread is frozen. I'm not sure this does a lot, so when the toast pops up I tend to let it have another few minutes. I may be missing something.

Another plus is that the toast hardly ever 'catches' even when, as happens often when I'm slicing the bread, the thickness of it wavers, so that one half is mammoth and other skinny.

Still looks good in the kitchen after a year. It's never broken or gone wrong and the stainless steel bit on the front polishes up really well. What more can I say? I'd definitely buy this brand again if we ever needed a new toaster. It's reliable, it looks good, it makes toast. Perfect!
