... bought my Dualit toaster which is almost exactly the same as this, 10 years ago - that in itself is surely a great review for Dualit! It cost me around £170 then, which I work out has cost me around 4p a day and is still going strong. So I can t sing the praises of Dualit enough really. This version has the addition of an extra dial with which you can control the browness and has the Dualit manual lifting mechanism which allows you to lift the toast away from the heating element but still keep it warm - fabulous and just so handy when you are waiting for the kids to come down to breakfast - no cold toast traumas! ... was very excited to recieve this product as an engagement present. And over the moon when I first got it out of the box. On first inspection, obviously I was very impressed. The colour of the product was my favorite of course being a pink fanatic although I am aware that they do this product in many other colours. I also like the fact that they do a matching kettle. At the price that was paid for it I was slightly unimpressed by the quality of the toaster. ... toaster really is the future. It s expensive, but its worth it. For starters, you never have to put up with the hassle of a burnt piece of toast again. The Duality Vario Combi actually knows when your toast is about to burn, and pops it out. For me, this is a great feature as I never know how long to set the timer for on a toaster, and often I ve set it for too long, got a phone call and then come back to find some badly burnt toast. On top of this, you can get sandwich racks. In these you put your sandwich, which then gets toasted. Its a very good system, and makes some very nice sandwiches.
