Advantages: no mess and easy
Disadvantages: You do really need a wide slice stting
I bought these in woolworths on impulse and have to say it was a great cheap impulse buy.
Manufactured by JML these are revolutionary.
Costing around the £4.00 mark for two these can be reused up to 100 times making them cheap as chips!
The bags come with handles so they can be removed safely from the toaster. Prepare a sandwhich as you normally would making sure your spread (butter, marg etc) is on the inside not the outside as you would a breville, place it into the bag, put the bag into the toaster and wait for it to pop up - I would advice setting your toaster to accept wide slices if possible.
I can't pretend these taste the same as in my breville but they are a reasonable substitute and it's certainly easier to clean the bags - i tend to put mine in the dishwasher as they are dishwasher friendly but to be fair this is lazy. Simply throwing away any residual crumbs and rinsing with water using a little fairy if needed would do the trick!
Ham and cheese toasties are the best place to start but i have added other meats and onion and all have been really tasty with no cheesy mess to clean up at the end. The bags allow you to experiment to your hearts content. It will be a long time before the breville sees the light of day again as there is much less mess involved.
You get 2 bags for your four quid and they can actually be reused up to 100 times which means i think they are exceptional value.
You dont have to just cook sarnies either - anything toastable - even fishfingers (apparently) - can be used with these.
Summary: this is a fabulous invention

- 29/09/08 Bit more info here would be good for future buyers. How many times can you use them? How many do you get for £4? Are they dishwasher safe? Bit more research into your product would be good here. |
