Disadvantages: burns the bread if you are not careful

I picked these up after reading about them, and was intrigued by the thought that not only could you do toasted sandwiches, you could also do your fishfingers, too. Well, the concept is great, and they really will cook fishfingers (though they take ages) plus we've had some great toasties, but I have seen far better quality bags than these. Obviously, these are very cheap, and are a fraction of the price of the top of the range bags, but I have a feeling that a) the more expensive ones will last longer, and b) I wonder if the thicker bags cook more evenly? I have to be very careful not to allow my bread to burn, and so I do the andwiches 'little but often' and pop them up and allow them to cool a little several times throughout the process. But the bread seems to catch very quickly, so it needs watching. It may be taht I have narrowishslots on thetoaster, so the bread is pushed right up against the elements, but I wonder if the better bags offer more protection?
