Advantages: i guess it looks okay
Disadvantages: it always burns my toast! i get a choice of burnt or slightly hard bread.
I hate this toaster.
We got this toaster after our old one died on us, and i hate it.
The settings seem simple enough, the same for most toasters 1 is slightly crispy 2 is browner 3 is very brown 4 is dark brown and 6 will burn it to a crisp as with all toasters.
but.
this toaster, is pure evil.
First time i got it i thought okay well i dont know much about it so i'll just put it on one.
put it one.
pops up a minute later.
the toast is still bread but the crusts are crispy.
okay.
put it in for another one.
the middle is now cooked and the sides are burnt! why why why why.
After having the toaster for a few months now, trying out the different settings we've all come to realise you have to put it on the little liney setting between 2 and 3 but never wait for it to pop up because sometimes it will toast it just fine but most of the time it'll burn the side and its not like our toast is huge.
I find the toast gets stuck in the toaster quite alot as well the slots are far too deep, i put in bread from the bread maker and thats the biggest bread you can get and even when i tried pulling the little slidey bit up to the top i still couldnt get it up.
Also.
There's a little button on the other side of the toaster where if you press it, two metal liney bits come up.
Why do i need two metal liney bits?
Maybe im just being thick but in all my time toasting, and im a teenager so toasters are my main cooking appliance, i have never needed two metal liney bits.
Only good thing about this toaster is it looks good.
Thats all.
My mum says we get a new toaster when this ones broken so i'm off to find a hammer to get rid of this travesty of an appliance.
why am i rating a toaster on noise? toasters dont make noise...

Nar2 - 07/08/08 Welcome to Dooyoo.
Rather than reiterating that you hate it, I think you need to give this toaster/appliance review a little more thought. I'm a bit confused as to what you keep referring to as liney bits for example. What I think you mean is the bagel lifter - two prongs which slide up and create a grille about the heated element bit where you normally put toast; this is ideal for heating up bagels and other flat breads which need a heated base.
A bit more info about cleaning it, whether it has cool walls whilst in operation and general controls will benefit your review. You'll find that for example this toaster has a cancel button, and sometimes toasters improve their general performance if you empty it over a kitchen sink; yours sounds like it has been neglected. Does this one have pull out crumb tray at the bottom? Also what is the price?
