Advantages: Contemporary Design, Functional, Easy to Use
Disadvantages: I've Not Had Any
I had to buy a new toaster six months ago when my old one broke and decided on this Morphy Richards number for about £40 after a bit of browsing round the web. I especially liked the unique style of this as it's chrome with contemporary design buttons and dials on the front. It holds four slices which is a must when you've got lots of mouths to feed too.
Using this toaster has been nice and straightforward. I can just put in one or two slices and use one side if I want to so I don't waste energy. Plus, it's got a hi lift function which means that if I want crumpets or something, I can get them out without having to jam a knife in and fiddle it around! You can get things out really easily using either the lift facility sliders or the buttons. There are reheat and defrost functions too which is great for our broad. We regularly freeze loaves of bread as we need to buy so much each fortnight when we shop and don't always remember to defrost in ready for breakfast when we've used the last loaf up. It's quite quick to heat up and cook the bread whichever heat setting you choose too.
Cleaning the toaster can be a bit fiddly but then I think it is with most toasters. There's a built in crumb tray which means I don't have to shake it upside down for a regular clean though I do every few months just to make sure it's properly clean. Cleaning the outside is easy in theory but in practice it's important to dry off the chrome finish after cleaning else it smears a bit. What I also like about this toaster is its non-slip feet as my last toaster was terrible for shooting across the kitchen side whenever it popped! This toaster has little rubberised soles on its feet though which means it stays where you put it. We've got the kettle from this same range too so it's nice that we can have a complimentary kitchen set and not just a toaster that looks out of place on it's own.
For £40 you can't go far wrong with this I don't think. I think we made a really good purchase with this and would recommend it to others.
Summary: A Great Modern Toaster at a Good Price.
