Advantages: defrosts your bread and doesn't leave it soggy, a removable crumb tray which is non-stick,
Disadvantages: expensive, stainless steel part of the toaster can get hot
We recently bought a toaster as our last one caught fire whilst I, myself was trying to make some toast (which only happens once in a blue moon). The Morphy Richards 44721 is a two slice toaster which is rather heavy for a toaster and is chrome and stainless silver in the middle. The toaster is for every type of bread whether thin, fat, frozen or fresh bread it is designed to toast all of them.
I am sure that a lot of people are familiar with Morphy Rochards. They are basically a company who specialize in manufacturing household appliance and they are neither cheap nor expensive they are mediocre on pricing.
==Price and Place==
I and my mum went strolling in Currys looking for a new toaster and she got attracted to the chrome colour of the toaster, therefore decided to purchase the toaster. The toaster was priced at £29.99 which I thought was quiet a lot for a toaster. On top of the shelf that was just above the toaster area were the electric kettles.
I noted a kettle that matched the toaster; it didn't really look that attractive and looked rather ugly. The price for the matching was rather ugly too being priced at £39.99. However, Once we bought the toaster I did look it up on the net and to my surprise I saw the toaster being advertised on amazon for less than £25 which was rather a shame, but I know my mum wouldn't have bought it from the net really as we needed the toaster urgently.
The toaster does come in a white box and in the box you will find the small manual, toaster, and warranty application form.
==How to use==
The toaster is pretty much easy to use. Just like any other toaster, this toaster has the browning control which is marked from one to eight. You can set the browning control at any point 1, 2, 3, 4, or 8 etc depending on the type of bread you are planning to toast.
I always use normal fresh bread therefore I set the browning control between the 3 and 4 which toasts the bread and leaves it with that nice looking brownness.
The toaster has three marked buttons on its side. The first button on the top is the 're-heat button' you basically press this button if you want to re-heat your toast. I have always found this useful for the reason that almost all the time I make some toast I never bother to wait for it till it's done so I probably go and watch T.V and go and do my hair but by the time I get back the toast would have been done for ages at a point that it's gotten cold, there I just press the reheat button and the toaster will be dragged back into the toaster only for a few seconds though.
The second button on the toaster is the cancel button, you only use this if you want to stop the toaster possibly because you've just noted that the browning control is set to the highest (8) or you just wanted your bread warm etc.
The last button on the toaster is the defrost button. It defrosts your bread and toasts it without leaving the bread soggy.
The toaster does also come with a bum warmer, which you put on top of the toaster and place two buns or maybe one on top for them to warm up.
==Me and the Product==
I have always found cleaning the toaster to be very easy as the toaster has a removable crumb tray which is non-stick. Therefore, all I have to do is, use damp cloths to wipe the crumb tray and all the crumbs comes off quicker than they got there.
I must say my experience with the toaster has been good I thought the entire toaster were the same but this one is rather different in a way that when I toast half a slice on each side of the toaster, you might think that it's going to be hard getting the toast out.
This isn't the case at all when using the toaster as it has a high lift feature that lets you select the level of how deep you want the toast to go into the toaster.
The defrost button has been really useful when using the toaster for the reason that we keep all of our bread in the fridge and the freezer. Therefore the defrost button has always saved me time as I don't have to worry about which level I have to set the toaster as I could set it too high or too low.
Toasting frozen or cold bread does take long about 1 minute or more. The toaster does have grip under it, which always has stopped the toaster from wondering around whilst I'm trying to toast my bread.
A disadvantage I've come across whilst using this toaster is that the stainless steel part of the toaster does get hot whilst the toaster is in use and afterwards and so does the bun warmer.
Overall, I and the toaster do get along; the toaster is unlike the other toasters I've used.
The slot width of toaster is very helpful in allowing me to toast thick bread which I used to struggle with, whilst using my last toaster.
==Recommendation==
I haven't got much against this toaster therefore I will recommend it to everyone out there. The toaster is very simple to use and does exactly what it says on the box. The toaster also has a kettle and a slow cooker that match with the toaster but are sold separately.
However, if you are the sort of person who likes your kitchen facilities to match you might not want to buy this unless your kitchen is yellow or chrome in colour.
The toaster comes with a two year manufacture warranty therefore you shouldn't get worried about buying another toaster in the next two years, the problem with the warranty is that you are not covered against accidental damage but only mechanical breakdowns.
If you don't really like chrome the toaster does come in other colour such as red and white.
==Note==
---If you use the toaster frequently it is best you clean the crumb tray frequently because the crumbs can catch fire (I'm sure that's what happened to my last toaster).
---You can't use the toaster without the crumb tray!
---The time it takes to toast the bread depends on how thick, thin the bread is. However, it does take long to toast frozen or cold bread
---The toaster does come with a two year warranty, but you do have to apply for it.
Summary: a chrome toaster, that toasts your bread and has a 'high lift' feature
