Advantages: Looks really nice, comes in so many different colours
Disadvantages: Doesn't toast top of the bread!
I received this toaster for Christmas from my mum along with the matching kettle, in plum, which is a gorgeous deep purple colour. There are loads of other kitchen appliances in this range of colour, so you can get everything matching. You can also purchase this kettle in other colours such as black, green, red, blue, orange, cream, any colour you can think of! This kettle is currently selling for between £30-£50 online in different stores, some have it in the sale. I would be happy paying around £35 for this toaster if I had bought it myself.
This is a four slice stainless steel toaster, and surprisingly, the slots are actually quite wide inside. There is a lot of room, they have not made the slots smaller, to get more on this toaster. However the toaster is very big and quite bulky, but not too big that it doesn't look nice in your kitchen. I did have a four slice toaster before this, and this one is a lot bigger, but still fits on my kitchen worktop nicely.
All the buttons to use this toaster are on the front, although it doesn't look ugly, and actually looks quite stylish. I have always been used to the buttons being hidden away on the side, so it doesn't spoil the look of the toaster, but this one looks really nice. You can operate two slots on one side of the toaster with one set of buttons, and the other two slots with another set of buttons, both are the same on each side. This is what I love about this toaster, as I like my toast not too well done, my boyfriend loves his a lot browner than me! So if we are doing our toast together, we can have mine on a lower setting so it doesn't toast as much, but you can still have both are sets of toast in together and for the same time.
On the front of the toaster for each side, you have a lever which you press down to put the toast down, which is nice and easy to slide down, it is really smooth. There is also a button with an X next to it, to pop your toast up if you want to check it. There is also a reheat button, and a frozen button, which are quite nice extras to have on there. These light up when you press them so you know they are on. The reheat button just warms your toast up if it has gone cold instead of toasting it anymore. The frozen button is to defrost your bread first and then toast it, so it takes a lot longer than putting fresh bread in. There is a dial which you turn to the browning setting you want. There are nine different browning levels to choose from, I just have it half way, on no.5 and this browns my toast nicely, although it is a little slow. It isn't a fast toaster! It takes a good few minutes to toast your bread. Underneath the toaster you can pull out the trays to get rid of the crumbs left behind, these slide in and out easily, they are not fiddly at all.
One thing I have noticed with this toaster, I am not sure why, and it doesn't bother me too much, but about 2cm of the top of the bread, never seems to toast for me. I just use Warburtons farmhouse bread which is a standard size of bread, nothing bigger than other normal loaves of bread, but when I put my bread in, it never toasts the top part! This is not a big problem, as there are so many things I love about this toaster, that I can put up with that! I have also noticed, that my toast is never the same colour brown on each side, one is always slightly lighter, and I always end up turning my bread half way through so it is even!
I do love the look of this toaster, especially the colour, however it annoys me slightly that it doesn't do both sides of the toast the same brownness, and doesn't toast the top of the bread! But other than that, I love all the different dials you can use, and I love being able to use it for toastie bags, these fit in really well, as the slots are very large compared to other toasters I have owned. Overall, its a nice toaster, but I wouldn't purchase again if mine broke unfortunately.
Summary: A nice toaster for the price
