I seem to not have much luck when it comes to my kitchen appliances and on average I need to replace something every six months or so. The only appliance I have never had any sort of trouble with is my toaster which is a Russell Hobbs classic toaster model no: 13766. I have had it now for nearly two years and in all that time there has never been a problem with it and it is still going strong despite being used almost every day. The Russell Hobbs classic is a polished stainless steel 2 slice toaster that has a modern look but at the same time it really is a classic shape so would fit in with most kitchen designs. As my kitchen appliances are all ... Read the complete review

I bought this toaster a few months ago from Woolworths it was reduced to £10 which I though was fantastic for a Russell Hobbs 2 slice toaster. I have found the toaster very good the toast spaces are large enough to accommodate crumpets without them getting jammed. You can adjust the length of time the bread stays in the toaster for well-done toast etc. The only problem I have had with this toaster is you have to be careful when you push the leaver down to put the bread down as it is situated right next to the lever than adjusts the length of time the toast is in so I have burnt a few slices pressing both levers down at once. Bought this toaster as I first thought it would stop me having to watch my bread under the grill and can pop it in and go do other stuff. The stainless steel has a nice finish although it is very prone to fingerprints and the crumbs from the toast seem to stick to it which isn't really a good thing. The toaster features a variable browning control that I couldn't get to make the perfect slice of toast. I tried it on all the levels and I either got burnt toast or under cooked toast and it would go uneven every time. Which means once I have pressed the lever down it was like the toaster is deciding my fate whether I'm getting a nice perfect piece of bread or if ... Read the complete review

I bought this toaster two weeks ago as our other one had packed up. We bought a cheaper one made by a company called hayden first but it was a load of rubish to be honest, it burnt the toast on every setting so it had to be returned. In the end after reading several reviews on differn't toasters we decided to go for the russell hobbs 13766, it wasn't the cheapest toaster at £25 nor was it the dearest i guess it was a mid-range toaster. It's a very basic toaster with very few settings but that is what i wanted really just something that did not burn the toast. This toaster works very well indeed and the toast always cooks evenly on both sides. It ... Read the complete review

This toaster is nice and modern looking in stainless steel and black and looks good out on the work surface if you are short of cupboard space. It is a 2-slice toaster and the great thing is the slots are wide and long so unlike other toasters, the whole slice of bread gets toasted rather than the top sticking out. The slots are wide enough for crumpets and teacakes too which is great. Considering the size of the slots, the actual toaster is quite neat and compact. I do find that if only toasting one piece of bread, one side is toasted considerably more than the other. This isn't the end of the world, I just put it on a low setting and flip it over. This ...
