Advantages: simple to use cooks toast evenly
Disadvantages: none
I bought this toaster two weeks ago as our other one had packed up. We bought a cheaper one made by a company called hayden first but it was a load of rubish to be honest, it burnt the toast on every setting so it had to be returned.
In the end after reading several reviews on differn't toasters we decided to go for the russell hobbs 13766, it wasn't the cheapest toaster at £25 nor was it the dearest i guess it was a mid-range toaster. It's a very basic toaster with very few settings but that is what i wanted really just something that did not burn the toast.
This toaster works very well indeed and the toast always cooks evenly on both sides. It has a high rise facility that will keep your fingers from getting burnt, you just lift the handle that you use to plunge the toast down which is perfect if you toast tea cakes and crumpets like i do. Other features include a defrost button for cooking toast from frozen, a cancel button to eject the toast early and a variable browning control button ( i use it on number 3 ) which i find to be the perfect setting for golden brown toast. It also has Extra-wide slots which you can fit really thick bread in aswell as medium and thin, thick crumpets fit in with ease aswell. Cleaning is not a problem just a wet cloth for the outside and the crumb tray catches everything else.
Ive been using this toaster for a fortnight now with no problems what so ever and the toast comes out perfect every time.
highly recomended toaster 5 out of 5 stars
Summary: great toaster that does exactly what it's meant to do
