My mum bought me this toaster when I moved into my first house nearly two years ago, along with a matching russell hobbs kettle, which I have also reviewed. It is in stainless steel to match all my other kitchen appliances and that's about the only thing I like about this toaster, that it goes with everything in else in my kitchen. I cant get the hang of this toaster, so my boyfriend now makes my toast for me every morning! It is a four slice toaster, but it may as well be a 2 slice one as the back two slots are a waste of time. When you put two pieces of toast in the front two slots, it takes about absolutely forever just to toast it even slightly, and it pops up after a minute or so. You have to put it down again to toast and then end up standing over it as you cannot leave it to pop up again because then it ends up burnt. You have to keep popping it up to see if it is finally done. This toaster is just too time consuming! When you put the toast in the first two slots it only toasts lightly, but it is different for the back two, it burns before it pops up on the third slot, and doesn't toast it at all on the fourth one! Do not choose this toaster if you are in a rush in a morning! If you do keep an eye on it, and be careful that it doesn't burn, it does make nice toast. I don't think the slots in this toaster are wide enough either, bread is fine to toast, but crumpets and teacakes get stuck every time and it's a nightmare trying to get them out! You can lift the slot up higher to try and get them out, but this always ends up with me burning my hands! Also you cannot put toast in the back two slots, without having to put the front two slots on as well. You can use the front two slots separate to the back two, but if you are putting on the back two you have to have all four on?! Apart from having to wait ages for it to pop up, and then having to stand over it and watch it then doesn't burn, I do like the toast it makes, but its just too much hassle this toaster and I'm going to be investing in a new one very soon!
