Advantages: Cheap, does the same job as dearer ones, Sainsbury's 1 Year Guarantee

Disadvantages: Could be built better, but this would increase the price

In all honesty, there isn't really too much to say about this. It's a toaster, and it's very cheap; there aren't many places you'll get a 4 slice toaster for under a tenner!

First of all, it's made from cheap plastic. This would be a problem if it was more expensive, but at this price point it's to be expected. Want a stainless steel one? You have to pay more.
It probably will break on you at some point; with mine, the handle wouldn't stay down, so you'd have to hold it there if you wanted it to toast the bread. However, Sainsbury's include a one year guarantee on it, so I went in and the very helpful staff replaced it for me on production of my receipt.

Now, what about the main function; toasting? Well, it is brilliant. In this respect, it doesn't matter if you spend £9 or £90 on a toaster, it'll do exactly the same job. You'll have to fiddle around with the dial to get the setting just right, but everyone likes their toast done slightly differently.
The wider slots are a massive bonus, it means you can stick thick sliced bread in there, or bagels. This is something that wasn't possible with the Asda, Morrisons or Tesco value-branded equivalents, which all retail for the same price.

In short then, this is the cheap toaster to go for. In fact, unless the cheap white shiny plastic look is just too unbearable, then I see no reason why you'd get something more expensive. And if it breaks on you, you can take it back and have it replaced within one year of purchase, if it breaks outside of that first year, come on, it's just a tenner.

Summary: The only thing more expensive toasters do better is look good.
