Well I brougt the Porsche Siemens Toaster and Kettle 6 years ago and I must say the toaster is not that good at toasting bread, it never has been, That being said it does look fantastic in my kitchen and I love the sleek brushed metal look, My boyfriend and I looked into the best toasters and kettles before we settled on this one, due to the reviews, and bought it from John Lewis. The only one downside to it is it tends to toast unevenly, but as this is the main function of a toaster not really that good !!
It is cool on the outside to the touch and has a crumb tray at the bottom so you can easily remove the crumbs, there is also a warming rack on the top if you press the lever at the side.
At the moment we are looking at getting a new toaster as the push down mechanism has broke so I have to stay at the toaster and hold it down.
Moving on to the plus sides of this toaster, It looks fantastic still even thought it is 6 years old, as it is such a strong toaster I clean it with a bit of kitchen cleaner and get a scourer to it and It comes up like new. I will not be buying another porsche toaster but I am going to be sad when I throw it away as It really is a lovely looking toaster, I may just keep it for display purposes and put the new one in the cupboard !!!
UPDATE - Well can you believe this !!! My toaster has obviously been looking at Dooyoo and has somehow reparied itself it is now in working order again, I can't tell you how good that is not to have to stand at the toaster and hold the lever down !!! Woo Hoo !!! 15/02/09
