Unfortunately these occasionally get stuck in the down position and need a play to free them. The bread crumb tray could also be better but then I've never seen one that's 100% efficiant. We got this toaster as a freebie in a rented flat and it's by far the best toaster I've ever used! The slots are wide enought for a variety of breads, hot cross buns (sliced in half) and crumpets. The dial to control the length of cooking also has an excellent range rather than the usual undercooked or burnt options.
