Toast n Egg: Does exactly as it says (Tefal Toast n Egg TT550015)
Member Name: lkjlucy
Advantages: quick, convenient Disadvantages: poached eggs look like the ones at McDonalds I received this toaster as a wedding present in August 2008 and absolutely love it. It does exactly as it says on the tin. I mainly use it for poaching eggs, but it is also adept at boiling eggs perfectly. THe egg section basically consists of a fixed dish, which heats the water and a removable pan (to add the raw egg for poaching) and a removable plastic tray with four holes for boiling eggs. Add the water to the dish, add your egg to the pan (with a bit of oil so it doesn't stick) place on the cover, put in your bread and select the toast and egg icon. 2 minutes later, perfect poached egg on toast. The item come with a plastic measuring jug with indications for the correct amount of water to use for soft, medium hard eggs. One small crticism is that I found the indications to be innacurate and it required less water than indicated on the jug to get the eggs as soft as I wanted. It's a minor quibble though and a little bit of trial and error eliminates this. Overall a really good product. Summary: a good, solid product
