Tefal TT390015 Evolutive
Advantages: Works well, cooks the bread efficiently, safe to use, good price, good reheat button
Disadvantages: None from me
You may have read my last review where I wrote about the office where I work needing a kettle. The kettle was a success and seeing as I managed to purchase it for a smaller amount than had been budgeted for, I was then allowed back out with the petty cash to get a toaster for the office. This caused instant excitement, the thought of warm toast on a winters morning was the highlight of the week so during my lunch I started to shop around for some good deals and I happened to spot the Tefal TT390015 Evolutive 2 slice toaster. It was on offer as well as having all the specifications that we were after and so I made the purchase and here are my thoughts.
The toaster will normally retail at around the £30.00 price tag but I found it on offer for a reduced price of £24.99 in the Argos catalogue so we were able to ring and reserve the product. The Toaster can be found in a number of different places, there is availability from Amazon as well as Argos where I made my purchase from. The Tefal range is one that I have used at home in the past so I was hoping it was going to be an ok piece of equipment in the office.
The toaster came well packaged and with a one year manufacturer's guarantee. The toaster has a brushed chrome finish and with the Tefal logo in black on the front of it. The toaster has a good amount of electrical lead on it, about 80cm so we were able to plug it in on the work top and put the rest of the wiring under the toaster. The toaster is for 2 slices of bread, we just would not have required anything more for the office
There are seven different browning levels on the toaster; this is really good as it allows us all to have our toast exactly as we like it. The toaster also has re heat, defrost and cancel settings. A work colleague has used the defrost setting and says that the end result was perfect! One of the main things for me was that the toaster was safe to use, when your toast is done there is a tray that allows you to lift it as opposed to having to put your hand into the toaster.
When I first went to use the toaster I was unsure of what setting to have my bread cooking at so I decided upon a medium one and I was impressed with the results. The toaster is certainly efficient and gets warm within seconds. I like that the toaster cooks the bread really evenly as well. For those that to have their toast looking rather more burnt, the high setting still cooks well and take that little bit longer but again, it is an even brown colour when it comes out.
I like that the toaster is also quick. I don't expect the toast to be cooked in seconds but I do like that it is efficient, sometimes to efficient so I end up answering a call in the office and my toast is done, this is where the reheat setting comes in and it is a really asset to the toaster, we have all commented on what a good idea and feature it is in the office.
The toaster has a crumb control tray which helps in keeping the office tidy it just slides out and I can take the tray to the bin.
Overall, I have been really pleased with the toaster; in fact it gets a big thumb up from our office.
5 out of 5 from me on this one
