Tesco 4 Slice Stainless Steel Toaster


We have had some bad luck with toasters recently, and so here we now are onto the third toaster in a matter of six months!

Being quite busy of late, we didn't have time to drive to the nearest big shopping centre, so with a decided to pick up a new Toaster in Tesco's with our weekly shop. They had a number of different toasters, though we decided to go for this four slice stainless steel toaster which came to just under £20.

The toaster, as far as toasters go, is very attractive with its highly shiny stainless steel surround with black edging to finish it of nicely. It is approximately 30x30cm with the height coming in at around 21cm. On the top, you will see four decently sized slots for toasting which are big enough to toast even larger cut bread. The controls sit nicely on the front of the toaster (or side depending on which way you sit it on the side!). There is two sets of controls which are identical. There is also three buttons near the controls which allow you to reheat your toast (which I have found very handy) and also defrost bread before toasting, again, a handy addition. You are also able to cancel your bread from toasting. You have a further dial which allows you to set how brown you want your toast, with settings from 1-7. To the bottom, you will find two crumb trays which make it easier to clean out.

How well does the toaster work?

I have found this toaster to be well worth the money. Quite large bread can fit snuggly into each slot without it breaking or getting stuck, and the toast pops back up well when ready. There is also an extra space to allow you to push the toast up even further if need be. We generally use the toaster on a mid setting which toasts bread very well with no burning.

The ease of use could not be simpler, though it did take some time to get used to the controls.

Overall, I am extremely happy with our purchase and would recommend this toaster to all. The price is reasonable and the toaster is easy to use and effective.
