Ok if you only want half your bread toasting! (Tesco Value 2T07)

I love to eat toast so a toaster is a must in our house. About six months ago my toaster broke and I was going to buy a pink one to match my kettle, however I don't keep the kettle on the kitchen side it is just something that I get out when I need to use it, it's hidden away in a cupboard. Therefore I decided instead of spending a lot of money on a toaster just because it looks nice I decided to buy a cheap one.

The cheap toaster I bought was from Tesco and is part of their Value range, I think it cost £4.44. A real bargain but I must admit I was a bit concerned about how good it would be.

The toaster is very simple to use. There is a variable browning setting, numbers between 1 and 7. There is also a cancel button, I am the type of person that doesn't trust toasters so I will keep pressing the cancel button and checking how the toast is cooking, I hate burnt toast.

I have two complaints with this toaster, one is that the cord is really small and the other is that the toaster is too small. When you put the bread in it sticks out of the top, so unless you keep turning your bread around only about 80% of your bread will be toasted. I do use Warbutons bread which does seem slightly bigger than other loafs but the fact is does not toast all the bread is really annoying.

It is only a 2 slice toaster as well, so if you are making toast for all the family then you can be stood there a while.

After six months my toaster now seems to be only working on certain sides, it toasts one side of the bread but not the other. It does however come with a 12 month guarantee so I must find mine and take it back to the store.

Not a great toaster but I suppose what can you expect for £4.44. I don't think I will be buying anymore kitchen appliances from the Tesco Value Range.
